An exciting position has become available within a large manufacturing company based in the Medway Towns for a Support Services Administrator to work directly for Support Services, including Human Resources and Compliance.
The post will be ideal for an individual who has had some experience within an HR role and has undertaken similar administrative duties within a manufacturing environment.
This role will be initially a temporary one which may lead to permanent employment after twelve weeks for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the successful candidate will be working closely with the HR Officer, Compliance Officer and Engineering Supervisor to provide a wide range of administrative support to the team. You will be assisting with the day-to-day administration and operation of the Human Resources and Support Services functions and duties.
The main duties of the role will include assisting the HR Officer in ensuring new starters return all employment related documents and are set up on the time & attendance system and health & safety database, processing new starters, leavers and contract variation information, maintaining employee HR, H&S, environmental and engineering files and dealing with basic HR enquiries.
You will assist with the preparations for disciplinaries and grievances, including preparing the relevant documentation required and ad hoc projects and tasks as directed by the Support Services Manager, HR Officer, Compliance Officer and Engineering Supervisor.
You will maintain support services documentation and input material requests and process purchase orders.
The ideal candidate should be efficient, well-organised and capable of dealing with a variety of tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail, flexibility and absolute discretion are essential for this role.
