Premier Work Support are currently recruiting a permanent Factory Assistant to work in a specialist manufacturing company within the Bexleyheath area.

The role is to provide support for areas within the production process and to upkeep all areas of the business to a good standard. Previous experience in this kind of role is required and beneficial skills include drilling, tapping, sand blasting and using a saw. You must be motivated, conscientious and willing to prioritise tasks where appropriate. You must be good at time management and able to take instructions from the manager.

Duties will include:

Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Undertaking reactive tasks in all areas of the production process to high quality standards including:
* basic assembly work from a drawing
* Be able to drill (metal work)
* Be able to tap (metal work)
* Be able to use the saw
* To be able to Sand blast
* To be able to help with packing
* To be able to help with picking/kitting.
* Be able to assist with paint preparation.
* Keep the outside area clean and tidy.

Candidate Requirements

* You must be able to take instruction, not only from your direct manager but related authority levels in order to get the job done.
* Ability to build good rapport with all departments.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* You must be able to work on your own initiative.
* Standing and/or walking for long periods of time.
* Lifting and moving products up to 15kg in weight
* Lifting bending, reaching over head, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching throughout shift.
* The ability to read manufacturing general assembly drawings.
* Must have excellent attention to detail.
* Clean driving licence would be preferred but not essential.
* Forklift licence would be preferred but not essential.

The hours of work are 7.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 7.00am to 11:15am on Fridays.
