Due to company expansion our client based in Basildon is looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous administration experience gained within the freight forwarding industry, good knowledge of Word and Excel, be highly organised and have excellent communication and people skills.

The main focus of this role is to carry out general administration duties including:-

* Ordering the office stationery and staff uniforms
* Scanning, filing and distributing mail and documentation and dealing with the outgoing post
* Checking on stationery and refreshment levels daily and reporting when supplies are low
* Checking drivers domestic run sheets and queries
* Answering the telephone and transferring calls, taking messages, dealing with queries
* Covering reception when required - Welcoming visitors and Issuing visitor passes

Skills and experience required:-

* Previous administration experience is essential
* Experience within the freight industry is preferred
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Ability to prioritise your own workload but also be able to work as part of a team
* Good knowledge of Word & Excel and ability to learn new systems
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Our client is offering a competitive salary which will increase in December 2021 alongside a fantastic benefits package and a great working environment. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.
