Our client a professional, expanding organisation based in Southend is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will be a confident and strong team player/leader who has or is studying for their AAT Qualification.
This fantastic opportunity will have you involved in the training of new starters, staff on-boarding and off-boarding, monitoring employee absence and ensuring that the team targets are met. In addition to this you will lead and support your team in the completion of tasks such as invoicing, rejections, supplier set-up and amendments, statement reconciliations and general problem solving.
The main focus of this role involves authorising BACS payments and credit transfers, investigating BACS run differences, weekly reconciliation, review and resolution of high volume statements and corporate fees as well as managing the accounts payable inbox and the daily management of all invoice processing.
Requirements needed are:-
Purchase Ledger experience.
Professional team leading skills and a "can do" approach.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Highly organised, confident, self-motivated, reliable and flexible.
Ability to work on own initiative under pressure and to deadlines.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, including intermediate excel skills (v-lookups and Pivot Tables).
AAT Qualification would be a distinct advantage.
