Working for a market leading global manufacturing business, Premier Work Support have a fantastic opportunity for a Human Resources Manager working at their flagship site in Reading, Berkshire. This is a full time permanent position, not a contract opportunity.

You will be the people leader at this new facility working alongside the site operations management and relevant senior team. Duties will include: Making sure that the group HR initiatives & strategic plans are implemented effectively, developing sound working practices across the facility, providing support and advice to all relevant stakeholders, help to develop and implement performance management processes and recruit & manage talent with robust succession planning and Employee Engagement.

Further responsibilities include resourcing high calibre people in line with the business needs, working to increase the effectiveness of the communication program & supporting works forums and the HSE council and supporting the provision of training & development programmes. You will promote team concepts, diversity & equal employment opportunities, coaching, counselling, mentoring, training as well as support the general administrative and payroll tasks as required.

As the facilities Employee Champion you will build employee communication programs that provide employees with open, candid and frequent information-sharing with management, developing employee involvement systems, working to ensure the environment provides an opportunity for openness.

You need to have a relevant background within a HR Management role with a familiarity of manufacturing and / or Lean principles desirable. CIPD qualified you will have a strong grasp of employment law and strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills along with the ability to establish rapport with others where your attention to detail coupled to your effective verbal & written communication and organisational skills will come to the fore.

Monday to Thursday hours 8.30am to 5.00pm with Friday's finishing at 4.00pm with benefits including private healthcare.
