We are currently working with a market leading premium car dealership who are launching a new location in Kent.
Our client is keen to appoint an Aftersales Manager that will head up the service teams and continuously promote sales and aftersales.
You will ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the Service Department and control resources to achieve budget requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
Maximise departmental profitability through the sale of labour, parts and materials.
To welcome customers to the Service Department, ensure their vehicle is processed in line with the manufacturer's standards and comply with correct Company procedures.
To promote the service facilities of the dealership to encourage repeat business for Sales & Aftersales.
You will be responsible for:
Examine management accounts figures monthly to allow the necessary improvements and corrective actions to be taken.
Monitor financial expenditure and ensure adherence to budget.
Discuss significant variations in budget with Group Aftersales manager.
Ensure all outstanding debts are collected promptly.
Assess Service Department financial performance on a daily basis.
Monitor warranty claims submissions, parts returns and procedures.
Improve the quality of customer service, in line with manufacturers CSI programs.
Handle dissatisfied customers calmly, resolve complaints with sensitivity and involve others when needed.
Establish service team skills, book training to comply with individuals and manufacturers training requirements.
Ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
Direct team members in handling day to day problems and issues to enable them to operate efficiently and meet customer needs.
Ensure correct maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the Service Department are kept in accordance with Company policy.
Ensure customer parts are ordered and prompt contact is made on arrival of the said parts.
Create invoices / estimates in line with manufacturer pricing programs and take appropriate monies.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations in accordance with Company policy.
To organise Service Department bookings in an efficient manner to ensure full utilisation of the workshop.
Establish customers transport needs and arrange collection / delivery, local drop off & loan cars.
Process and give advice on vehicle warranties (with the exception of insurance based warranty where no training has been given).
Gain authority for repairs for account customers before commencement of work by either telephone or 1 link on line computer system.
Ensure Motability website is checked and updated regularly to maximise bonuses.
