Our client a growing organisation in Thurrock is looking for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. Based within this fast paced environment you will need previous experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

As Logistics Co-ordinator you will be working on a 4 days on and 4 days off basis with 12 hour shifts from 6:00am to 6:00pm. You will be the first point of contact for both your drivers and customers to co-ordinate and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of products across the country.

Responsibilities will include:-

* Being the first point of contact for customers and drivers to answer their queries
* Preparing transport documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
* Re-planning of customer base loads as the need arises
* Liaising with other offices in the UK, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements
* Communicating efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, drivers, and other offices, as required by operational procedures
* Contacting UK delivery destinations to book in deliveries
* Ensuring that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures
* General Administration duties, e.g., invoicing, filing, queries, claims
* POD handling for customers

Skills and experience required:-

* Previous experience as a Logistics Co-ordinator or in a similar administrative role
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks using your own initiative
* Ability to prioritise own workload but also be able to work as part of a team
* Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
* Conversant with Word, Excel and CRM systems
* Must have analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
