Premier Work Support are proud to be recruiting a Chef de Partie for a prestigious educational establishment based in Crawley.

We are looking for a proactive candidate who would like to join our clients' ever growing team, providing nutritional meals, maximising your potential and being apart of a passionate and dedicated team. You must have a true passion and genuine interest of the industry.

You will be assisting the management and all staff in the provision of a comprehensive catering service that provides first class food and service levels, in both quality and consistency.

This will be shift work equating to 40 hours a week.

Please note come September there will be a salary increase.

Some of the duties and key responsibilities are:

* Ensure food is of high quality, well presented, nutritious and innovative.
* Contribute to the development of new menus including core and fine dining offers.
* Adhere to Health and Safety and Food hygiene standards including food labelling and allergen legislation, helping to promote a Food safety culture.
* Ensure food waste is kept to a minimum through managing production and portion control.
* To be an Ambassador for the Catering department, providing a warm welcome to all who use the Catering services.
* To be responsible for and able to evidence own personal development by undertaking relevant training, attending meetings, conferences and events ensuring that you are updated in all matters relevant to the role as agreed in Personal Development Plan.

Desirable Experience:

* Experienced chef for a minimum of 2 years.
* Ideally City and Guilds 706 (1&2)/NVQ Level 1 & 2.

Essential Experience:

* Ability to understand and adhere to Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to be adaptable to the changing needs and demands of the organisation.
* Excellent understanding of ingredients and allergen legislation.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Due to the location of the role, own transport is essential.

Please note due to the nature of the role you will be required to have a full 5 year check-able employment/education history, no unspent criminal convictions and valid photo ID. You will also be subject to a criminal record check.
