Premier Work Support are currently recruiting for a Plant Operative on behalf of our well established client, who have been trading for almost 100 years, to work in their premises in Tilbury.
As a Plant Operative you will continuously monitor all areas of process flow throughout the plant and various processing machinery ensuring the maximum efficiency possible and continuously look to improve the process flow and efficiency of the plant.
You will be able to step up and cover the Supervisor role and all other plant roles to enable break relief and have sufficient mechanical and electrical skills to carry out minor repairs and productive maintenance as required and assist the Team Supervisor in achieving production targets by maximising efficiency and minimising all waste streams across all plant machines.
You will be fully trained to operate and maintain all processing plant machines and have the necessary skills required to carry out productive maintenance as required throughout the shift and during plant outages for PPM, ensuring that all landings and machines are kept clean at all times, and any areas that are causing spillage should be reported and/or rectified as quickly and effectively as possible to minimise any downtime, and you will play a leading role during any plant change-overs or planned outages where maintaining plant equipment should be maximised by all available personnel as effectively as possible.
You will also be required to operate the company FLT as and when required.
You must have a good knowledge of health and safety practices, hold a current FLT license, have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and excellent attention to detail, along with good IT skills and logical fault finding skills.
You must be prepared to work a shift pattern with alternate weekends they will run from 6.00am to 6.00pm 2 days on 3 days off or 3 days on 2 days off with days and nights rotating shifts.
