Our client based in Basildon are looking for a Support Administrator to join their busy ocean freight team on a permanent basis to provide daily admin support to the Freight Forwarders. The ideal candidate for this role will have an administrative background and be keen and willing to learn, as full training will be offered on the freight forwarding side of this exciting opportunity where you will learn how to do clearances, bill of lading instructions and lots more.

Duties for the Support Administrator role will involve:-

* Investigate and resolve queries and exception reporting.
* Carry out all bond checks and action as appropriate
* Update received item details into Next Gen
* Full understanding of the warehouse processes and act as the bridge between the operations team and the warehouse
* Work to strict and time sensitive Standard Operating Procedures and KPI's to ensure compliance
* Complete end to end forwarding activities as the individual role requires for holiday and sickness cover
* Work closely with internal and external customers with a strong focus on customer service and remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships.
* Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting and milestone are updated within the required time-frame
* Month end department compliance and cost control
* Assist the Senior Forwarders, Supervisor and Line Manager where required
* Ensure all reports including internal and customer specific are completed within the deadline
* Resolve queries from customers and suppliers

Requirements for the Support Administrator role:-

* Previous Administrative experience
* Knowledge of MS Office - Word and Excel
* Excellent communication skills
* Keen and willing to learn
