Our client based in Basildon is looking for a Customs Co-ordinator to join their Customs team on a permanent basis. In an ideal world our client is ideally looking for someone with customs experience, however they are willing to consider someone who has worked in accounts or for the HMRC who is good with figures and has a strong eye for detail.
The main focus of the Customs Co-ordinator role is to assist with the movement of customs products. This involves completing all customs import, export and cross trade activities accurately and on time including the financial, legal and invoicing transaction. You will complete all customs import and export declaration forms, deal with amendments, ensure all duties and VAT are charged correctly, follow up late customer payments and ensure that insurances are charged correctly.
If you have worked inputting codes, values, figures, weights or VAT numbers and have strong cross referencing skills and enjoy working in a structured format then this could be the role for you.
The hours for this role are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
