Our Client based in Basildon is looking for a self-motivated individual with strong administration and customer service skills to join their team on a permanent basis as an Import Assistant.
Full import training will be provided but you will need to be a natural team player who is keen and eager to learn, with good communication skills and knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The main focus of the role is to provide operational support to the Import Operators. This includes carrying out all import administration, updating tracking documentation, checking deliveries are running on time, loading consignments onto the system and booking vehicles with subcontractors. Other aspects of the role will involve assisting with file charging, filing and completing relevant documentation.
You will need to be able to build strong relationships with clients, work to deadlines and react promptly to client requests within this fast paced environment. A "can do" attitude, strong organisational, literacy and numeracy skills are all essential along with good attention to detail.

The working hours for this role are 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
