Advisor - Third Party Insurance Injury Claims
Position/Job Title: Adviser - Third Party Injury Claims
£19,500-£25,000
London, docklands.
Summary: To manage motor third party and EL/PL claims within agreed quality and service standard.
Reporting to: Third Party Injury Claims Manager
Key Responsibilities: * Manage individual Third Party Claims to successful conclusion. Claims to be managed within your personal Claims handling/payment authorities as appropriate.
* Develop working relationships with all Claims service suppliers supporting the Third Party Claims Team.
* Audit technical competencies of all Third Party Claim service providers.
* Contribute to plans for managing known Third Party Claim issues that arise from time to time.
* Contribute to performance reporting arrangements.
* Be aware of market developments regarding Third Party Claim Management.
* Ensure awareness of Treating Customers Fairly and how customers are managed.
* Ensure awareness and understanding of Financial Crime and how it is managed.
* Other duties may be required - work will involve Third Party Damage Claims.
Qualifications: Experience:
* A good understanding of Claims technical knowledge/general insurance knowledge, including awareness of MIB and relevant court processes.
* Customer focused.
* People development skills.
* Service delivery focused.
Professional Qualifications:
Progression towards an insurance qualification is a positive advantage.
Skills/Personal Qualities:
Ability to understand and discuss claims situations with own advisers (staff, solicitors) and negotiate with third party solicitors. Confidence and ability to make decisions in situations involving Company spend.
